Our founder, Jimmie Dobson, and all of us at the museum welcome you. We want you to experience the wonder and joy of our collection. So take your time to explore our website and visit us soon!
Our founder, Jimmie Dobson, has spent a lifetime generously helping others experience joy. Each item in the collection has a story and a proud history to share that brings a smile to everyone who comes to visit us.
Our founder has spent decades searching for unique pieces for our collection, including the FDNY Super Pumper, a midget model T, and rare collectible toy trucks. We have something for kids of all ages. Plan your visit today!
Our collection reflects the pride the Dobson family has for our Mid-Michigan community. We have a number of items on display that tell the first responder history of Bay City and surrounding communities. We partner with several historical societies and museums. Contact us if you want to volunteer or partner with our mission!
We partner with the Saginaw River Marine Historical Society to share the tragic historical events and proud fire boat history of the region.
Many of our horse-drawn apparatus are on loan from the Saginaw County Historical Society.
Our museum is 100% volunteer run and we keep our doors open because of the many mechanics, docents, and digital volunteers that make sharing joy possible.
